Ocearis is seeking a visionary Naval Engineer to lead the design and optimization of cutting-edge vessels engineered for electric propulsion systems.

This role requires an innovative thinker with deep expertise in hydrodynamic performance and lightweight materials, who can shape the future of sustainable marine transportation.

Key Responsibilities

    Innovative Vessel Design: Lead the design of yachts and vessels specifically structured for electric propulsion systems, incorporating groundbreaking concepts that redefine the future of shipbuilding.

    Hydrodynamic Optimization: Ensure vessel designs maximize energy efficiency, reducing drag and enhancing performance to align with zero-emission goals.

    Material Selection: Identify and select the most sustainable composite materials for shipbuilding, balancing performance, weight reduction, and environmental impact.

    System Integration: Develop modular vessel designs that accommodate varying propulsion technologies, from hydrogen fuel cells to advanced battery systems.

    Collaborative Innovation: Partner with boat manufacturers to co-design new vessels, leveraging creativity and cutting-edge technologies to deliver groundbreaking designs.

    Compliance and Standards: Ensure vessel designs meet international maritime regulations for safety, environmental impact, and operational efficiency.

    Project Leadership: Drive R&D initiatives in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to bring innovative vessel concepts to market.

Qualifications

    Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.

    Proven expertise in vessel design, hydrodynamic optimization, and advanced materials.

    Strong knowledge of sustainable composite materials and their applications in shipbuilding.

    Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) processes to assess the sustainability of components and materials.

    Experience in modular system integration for diverse vessel types.

    Familiarity with electric propulsion systems and zero-emission technologies.

    Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for sustainable innovation.

    Knowledge of international maritime safety and environmental standards.
