Battery Systems Engineer

"Ocearis is seeking an experienced and innovative Battery Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced energy storage solutions for cutting-edge zero-emission marine applications.

Key Responsibilities

    Battery Design and Development:

    Design marine-grade battery systems with a focus on safety, durability, and high energy density.

    Develop advanced solutions using Li-ion, LiFePO₄, solid-state, and other alternative chemistries suitable for harsh marine environments.

    Ensure systems meet rigorous performance, safety, and recyclability standards.

    System Integration:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery systems into vessel energy architectures, including hydrogen fuel cells and renewable energy sources.

    Develop scalable, modular solutions to meet the diverse needs of maritime applications.

    Software and AI Integration:

    Incorporate advanced software engineering, AI, and real-time optimization algorithms to enhance energy modeling and system performance.

    Optimize battery management systems (BMS) to ensure seamless integration with hardware components and renewable energy technologies.

    Performance Testing and Analysis:

    Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of battery systems in laboratory and real-world maritime conditions.

    Analyze data to refine designs and improve performance metrics.

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

    Expertise in Li-ion, LiFePO₄, solid-state, or similar battery chemistries.

    Experience designing energy systems for harsh environmental conditions, with a focus on safety and longevity.

    Proficiency in software engineering, AI-driven optimization, and energy modeling.

    Hands-on experience integrating software systems with hardware for renewable energy applications.

    Familiarity with international safety and environmental standards for maritime energy systems is a plus.
